In order to receive Duty Free status for you household furniture and personal affects you will need to meet the following criteria:
Be a returning Thai resident who has been abroad or more than 12 months.
Or Non Thai, but holder of a Thai residence visa of at least one year
Or possess a one year or more non-immigrant visa with a valid work permit at the time the shipment is imported.
Removal goods that consist of used household furniture and effects which have been in the owners use and possession abroad for at least 6 months prior to shipping & importation into Thailand will be allowed Duty Free entry. Duty Free entry is granted for 1 Air shipment and 1 shipment by sea only.
Furniture, personal and household goods must be imported not earlier than 1 month and no later than 6 months after the arrival in Thailand of the importer/shipper.

Non Immigrant or residence visa valid for at least one year
Work permit valid for at least one year if applicable
Two legible copies of the packing list/inventory
