SHIPPING TO ZIMBABWE

IMOVE INTERNATIONAL REMOVALS & SHIPPING TO Zimbabwe - Harare - Bulawayo. Get a free shipping to Zimbabwe quote now.

So you are thinking of returning to Zimbabwe and are looking for a quotation to ship your household items and personal effects.

Shipping costs to Zimbabwe are expensive, Zimbabwe is a landlocked country and all shipments need to transit overland from the port of entry to inland freight terminals in Harare or Bulawayo where customs clearance will take place, and arrangements made to deliver your goods to your new residence in Zimbabwe.

Shipping routes vary and it is possible to arrange overland transit from the port at Durban in South Africa or Beira in Mozambique, transport will either be via truck or a train service. Currently the preferred route for container shipments to Zimbabwe is via Durban, as the port of Beira in Mozambique is highly congested and delays at the port can be anything between a few weeks to a few months.

If you are planning to send all your household goods and personal effects to Zimbabwe you will likely need a sole use shipping container (FCL) either a 20’ container or a 40’ container for shipping all your household goods home to Zimbabwe.

Budget costs will depend upon the service you require, service costs can be broken down into three distinct cost categories.

1. Ocean freight costs, which include transport of the container from the port to your residence or loading point in the UK, and return transport to the port, UK port handling charges, customs entries, ocean freight to the port of arrival (either Beira or Durban) and finally overland transport charges from Durban or Beira to Harare or Bulawayo terminals.

2. Packing and loading costs, are the international mover’s costs for export packing, wrapping and safely loading your household effects into the shipping container. The packers will also prepare a fully numbered and itemised packing list called an inventory of the goods loaded onto the container. This is essential for customs clearance purposes in Zimbabwe.

3. Customs clearance and delivery costs, on arrival of the container at Harare or Bulawayo terminals provision must be made to have the shipment customs cleared and delivered to your new residence in Zimbabwe. Our agent representative in Zimbabwe will make all the arrangements on your behalf, for customs clearance, delivery, unpacking and unwrapping and finally removal of the waste packing materials.

BUDGET COSTS FOR CONTAINER SHIPPING TO ZIMBABWE:
For a full service door to door as described above you should budget for between £8,500.00 to £9,500.00 for a 40’ container and £5,800.00 to £6,500.00 for a 20’ container. Costs are estimated and will depend upon your collection address in the UK and US$ exchange rate prevailing at the time (ocean freight charges are billed in US$ and most delivery agents in Zimbabwe bill in US$).

In order to save costs it is possible to undertake all the packing, wrapping and loading of the container yourselves. It is also possible to have a minimum service on delivery in Zimbabwe, and undertake the unloading, and unpacking yourselves.

It is also possible to arrange smaller shipments to Zimbabwe via an LCL service, (less than container load).

Fantastic service all round. Very professional and kept me inormed at all times
I booked this company in good faith as they claim to be experts to removals to Spain from the UK. They failed to wrap my expensive furniture, art work and mirrors on collection and I had to stop them for loading them into the van until I wrapped them myself as best as I could and at my own expense. I also made it clear when I booked the job that I leaved in the mountain in Andalucia and asked whether they could do the job; they assured me that there would not any problem. It turned out that when the stuff was supposed to be delivered to the property, the van driver which was hired was totally inexperienced at driving on mountain roads and the van booked was simply too big; half of my stuff was left on the side of the road in the dust and under the sun for hours as my husband was left to watch over it whilst the driver tried to deliver half to the house. When time came to deliver the second half, the driver refused to do so and all the goods were loaded back to the van to be taken to a storage area some 200 kms away. The following day Imove International advised me that they could not find another driver to deliver to the house and that I would have to organise collection at my own expense. I am extremely disappointed with the service given and I would advise anyone to avoid this company like the plague! I would not even give a 1 star rating...
Made the process of organising the move easy.
